Bypass Microsoft Security essentials region restrictions: "Not available in your country or region"

Trying to download Security essentials I stumbled upon this message:
Not available in your country or region

    Thanks for your brilliant post!
    I am in Malaysia and I was unable to download MSE...

    Still, what was the reason Microsoft selected only speficic region to allow them to download MSE?
